Plagiarism Policy

All the received articles of Ghalib Medical Journal are first compared by the expert or the publication manager with the matching system of Samim Noor, and the matching report is referred to the members of the editorial board. If the similarity percentage of the received article exceeds the limit (20%) set by the editorial board of the journal, the article will be immediately returned to the author/authors along with the similarity report.

    The members of the editorial board of Ghalib Medical journal take the necessary actions to check the incoming articles regarding the originality, reliability of the information provided and the correct use of citations and references. The members of the editorial board mention that plagiarism is unacceptable and therefore, if plagiarism is detected in any of the articles, they will apply the following policies and take appropriate actions.

   Plagiarism in any form, including direct or indirect quoting of essential parts of another's paper (without mentioning sources), plagiarizing the paper of others as one's own, or presenting the results of research conducted by others, under one's own name, from the point of view of publication of the Scientific articles are unethical and unacceptable. All the authors must ensure that the submitted version is an original work and free from any aspect of plagiarism.

   It is recommended to all the authors of the articles to evaluate the similarity of the content of the submitted article with existing sources by using one of the matching tools and software. All authors should ensure that the submitted articles have not been previously published in another language. Also, make sure that it is not sent to other publications simultaneously (submitting to another publication at the same time is unacceptable).

   If any of the aforementioned unethical behavior is detected by the editorial board of Ghalib Medical journal or by one of the reviewers, the article will be rejected immediately and the editorial board will contact the author to provide an appropriate explanation in that case. If the author does not give an appropriate explanation within a reasonable period of time, the editorial board (in the case of simultaneous submission to another publication) and the relevant institution of the author will be informed, and the authors' names will be blacklisted.

   In case plagiarism is reported by an individual after the publication of the article, the issue will be investigated by the editorial board, and if the amount of plagiarism is significant and unacceptable, the article will be removed from the archive, and the relevant institution and organization of the author will be notified and the names of the author will be blacklisted.
